	RUNNING IN A NEW BARREL

Before we start running in our new barrel , we need to make sure we
have the correct equipment to do so.

	(1)	One bore guide to suit action .
	(2)	Cleaning rod of a suitable length.
	(3)	Bronze brushes to suit caliber (must be on size).
	(4)	Plenty of cut to size patches again to suit caliber.
	(5)	Bore solvent (Hoppes No9, Hoppes BR9, Butch's boreshine and Sweets)

	Procedure:

Clean after each shot for the first 10 rounds , do not allow the
barrel to accumulate any Copper fouling .

Clean after each 2 shots for the next 10 rounds , again do not
allow the barrel to get hot (wait for it to cool) and again maintain the
	minimium of Copper fouling.

Clean after each 5 shot group for the next 30 rounds, as before and do not
allow the barrel to get hot (wait for it to cool).

Now your new barrel should not show any signs of excessive fouling
And should be ready for competition.
